As much as I hate routine coz I get bored easily, there is one thing that seems to defy it. I cannot really classify that as a routine either, it’s a need.
Saying The Rosary
Some of you may not agree on this as we have different belief, or religion or those who has non at all by choice. But whatever our faith makes us connected to the most high or universe rather for some, we do it for our purpose, grounding and spiritual health.
I say my prayer to the Holy Mother because I firmly believe in God. God chose her to accomplish the mission of sending Jesus Christ to us. Jesus honors his mother like we do with our own.
She’s the one who took care of Jesus and been blessed by God to have the bravest and enormous strength to accept her son’s fate.
A Mother’s Heart
I can understand how vulnerable a mother’s heart can be. Tons of fear are unfolded once a precious child is born, but along with the fear comes fortitude.
I pray to her as a mother myself to intercede in my prayer because Jesus will always have a soft heart to her mother and most likely than not, will favor the mother’s request. Like what happened in the the wedding in Cana.
The Wedding in Cana.
When the wine gave out, the Mother of Jesus said to him; “we have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman what concern is that to you and to me? My hour has not yet come.”
– Jesus knew it wasn’t His time yet to make impossible happen.
His mother said to the servants “Do whatever He tells you.”
– His mother knew it though that moment the mother insisted on her request to her son because she sees the need for it on that occasion.
Jesus said to them “Fill the jars with water.” And they fill them up to the brim.
– Jesus willingly gave in with the favor His mother had asked Him to do. It’s Jesus heart to his mother that He can’t say no to.
Jesus did this, the first of His signs in Cana, Galilee and revealed His glory; And His disciples believed in Him.
-Even God the Father had allowed it to happen.
I wasn’t a devotee… before.
I do pray the Rosary but not as part of my everyday back then.
My father has been telling me to learn pray the rosary but because I was young then, I didn’t see the point why when I can directly pray to Jesus.
Fast forward to the day I’m a mom already; A friend once told me, ” pray to the holy mother and she will intercede with your prayers and she never failed to deliver,” “She is the mother of Jesus Christ and her son won’t say no to her mother’s request to answer a desperate need” those are her words and she kept gifting me with rosaries.
These are some of them. The one in the middle was made with swarovski crystals. She gave one to my daughter as well in lavender and pink crystals. I also have one same materials but a looong one and bigger beads.
My favorite one to use is the one in the right, made from Jerusalem.
Believe me or not, my prayers were answered in haste. I implore her help in my prayers and petitions to Jesus.
I adore her for the strong faith in God on taking the mother role despite knowing she will soon give up her son to be sacrificed and mocked by many for greater purpose. I implore her help to fortify me with the same faith, toughness , resiliency, love and merciful heart as a mother myself.
I have learned to seek her aid not just in difficult times but in my everyday. It’s a part of me and I have the sense of completeness with my day when I pray to her too.
Don’t get me wrong, I seek Jesus and God the father and it’s something I cannot live without. It’s just that I cannot dismiss having her with it too.
This is how I start my day, I pray and it’s my necessity not just a routine.
