I won’t be blabbing much to share this recipe I just hurriedly whipped today. As you can see my life now with Noah (who’s, by the way, turned 9 months last Apr.16) is like playing Quidditch and time is an elusive golden snitch which I have to catch while he is asleep.
We were in the kitchen and dear son is crying as if it’s the best day to cry ever. But mind you I was only an inch away from him. Anyway, I saw the leftover pork adobo in the fridge and instantly just like an automated machine I looked for a packet of pasta and viola!
First blog in 2015. Got a lot of things in mind to share but just couldn’t find a time. Last year was all about my baby bump (once again…for the 5th time 😊) busy months, and I wish sooner I can share it with you and hopefully sum them up in one writing.I am really looking forward to it since I do not want my baby to reach a year old before I do so, whom in fact is 8 months old now.
Time check..3:16 a.m to be exact.everyone is dozed off. Here’s my #ootd for our first-day spring break get away.
Came home a bit late after posting the sequel 1. As promised, here it is. This is kinda tutorial too I guess.
My Andy is one of the girls loving 1Direction‘s music, she asked me to buy a mug online to give away to her friends. I do not think it is practical for a slumber party which we planned, it’s costly so to speak. She gave me a puppy-face look and what a charm this kid’s trick can do to you to make you say “yes”. I do not want to disappoint my baby so mom decided to make our own. We bought 2 boxes of plain white mugs on sale. With the help of fabric tape, glitters, printer, a skillful hand for cutting, and my trusty mod podge; we now have our home-made 1D mug. Problem solved!
After I finished my studies in Interior Design, I never got the chance to practice Well, I did in my house., my kid’s room as I had to let it go to attend to my growing kids. We were in Fujairah back then and the job I mostly get were in Dubai, the distance makes it too impossible for me to grab. The one that I did recently was my friend’s Game Room and later converted into a Dining Room. I have a collection of pictures of all the designs I made in the past on our house though. We shifted a lot so I had more chance to redecorate.
Then hubby got a text message about Ikea star designer competition a month ago. He keeps persuading me to join but not moved to do it so early on, but I’d like to really try. It was my dream every time I pass by their tiny showroom, I was like ” I wish I can design one of it”. I even go there to just give therapy to my eyes of what’s new, the settings and ideas. Last few weeks, I was preoccupied with different sorts of things so did not take heed. I kept hearing it on the radio every morning and finally, I’ve decided to give it a go at the very, very late time.
Guilty as pledged. It’s been quite a while having the time to nod hello to my blog. Spare me of my occasional laziness and I sure do not want to be mistaken for it, of not loving to write. I plan to give a highlight to my daughter’s birthday last July and here I am going to give you nothing about it but instead an entirely different genre from what I’m supposed to. Well, it’s no surprise, after all, I’m used to myself being that way.
I’ll be sharing a recipe of my mother and eventually being a favorite of my two boys while they were growing up and I need to mention my brother-In-law who fell in love with this dish the first time my mom cooked it for him.
The origin of this food came from Bicol where my Mother was born and raised. It’s a region in the Philippines where coconuts, taro leaves, and peppers are bountiful. Mama used to tell me so much about her childhood and the dishes she grew up cooking and eating.
It seems years had passed since my last post. I’ve been busy, super busy with a lot of things rushing ahead and caught me frozen. Yes, frozen! I’d chose to petrify myself and not do anything instead. I am actually browsing my Pinterest and stumble upon a food pic which really resembles the one I’m doing for so long now. What’s funny is that this morning I called a friend to ask about the dinner we’re going to prepare for the upcoming Youth for Christ Camp and I suggested if my old-time fool proofed dish is okay with her. Then this lovely popped out telling me I’m on the right track. The dish looks summery as the name suggests. I’m sure you too will love this.
During school days my mind is working incessantly from the moment I open my eyes in the morning til late of what snack/lunch the kids will bring to school. My second eldest son hardly eats veggies and the luckiest fruit has gotten a special entrance ID from his tongue is the banana, after a few years he allowed apple too. (rarely). That is why I was astonished to hear him asked me to buy some oranges. Of course, i did not waste a blink and darted away gladly. It’s already strange enough to make him like anything sour or citrusy, so if he was delirious when he said that, I don’t care this is a chance to grasp.
Due to the desperation of a Mom who must win against her son on a veggie and fruit war, I had to cheat him.
Tons of projects are yammering in queue giving me a sharp stare. So while they are waiting for my precious time to suffice their longing, I will begin by featuring the one hanging in my daughter’s room for a year now. We have a lot of Friday magazines at home piling up like crazy.
I know, I know I can use it for paper maché, but if I do I sure will have a museum. Anyway, here’s a cool idea to make use of old newspapers or magazines before it hits your trash bin. This will evoke the environmentally friendly and creative flair in you.
I was thinking of what to blog and I am totally disinclined to get my fingers tap the keyboard. I don’t know if I was caught up with huge (or I just thought so) errands or been struck by idleness. I drag myself to sit on my chair and let the words flow and what do you know? It does the trick.
A friend . or so I thought (not anymore and it’s a blessing..It’s a long story) and I had a trip to IKEA to pick up items that would complete my long-awaited decorating plan to be carried out.
excited! It’s part sale.
It’s quite vague whether we’re frantic about what a wonderful world of furnishings and beauteous room ideas or was it after 2 long hours of driving we can fill our hollowed tummy growling next to each other.
Most days I am in my best mood of hanging out in the kitchen and happily trying out new recipes, but this day…. I feel too heavy to get up from the bed and I don’t feel like doing anything ( sounds like a lyrics from a song ) anyway, Hunny’s home from his morning jog, he even brought me coffee in bed before he freshens up (how sweet! ). I checked my mobile phone to check social networks. I was surprised with wide eyes literally, to see that everyone has posted their Father’s Day greetings and so as my husband. I think I am the only person in the world who has a total ignorance of the passing day and no sense of calendar dates (I thought only in directions and maps).
I got up, greeted him with a hug and say “What do you want me to make today?” (pretending I did not forget his day), he replied with a big smile “Bread pudding”. .huuuh sigh! I thought he will say ” oh that’s alright do not bother” …
Dragging my feet I began to concede to his request.
